Riley and Sam

Riley and Sam both attended Washington and Lee and even though we were at a school with fewer than two thousand students, we never crossed paths (although we did share a yearbook page). We did not meet until we were both in Washington, DC with a couple of masters degrees under our belts. We sought shelter in whatever restaurants or bars would have us during the early days of the pandemic and we must have put over a hundred miles on our shoes just to spend an extra few minutes together.

Riley proposed to Sam in our favorite city Charleston, SC with both of our families present. Riley surprised Sam during what was supposed to be a @SweetTeaWithMadi photoshoot in the picturesque Philadelphia Alley. With the church bells ringing, Riley took a knee and popped the question. Luckily, yes was Sam's answer.

A few of our favorite memories together include traveling to Paris together (and leaving separately), adopting our cat Lars and driving him home from NC, holiday eves at The Deck, and the slow nights at home when we can unwind together. We’re so excited for you to join us as we say “I do” at our wedding in Amsterdam! Tot gauw!
